DeepaMehta 4.4 is a maintenance release that brings great improvements for plugin developers. Highlights include Service Injection, Declarative Transactions, and a significantly simplified API. Further changes include: • Compatibility with a new plugin: DM4 Geospatial (optional install) for performing geographical "Within Distance" queries. • Felix HTTP is replaced by OPS4J Pax Web for better interoperability with the Karaf ecosystem. After 3 and 1/2 years of work, 7 beta releases, 5 weeks after schedule, at Aug 7, 2020 DMX 5.0 has finally arrived.
The focus of this final milestone was on improving the DMX development experience. The APIs are consolidated, and a DMX Developer Guide is available, as well as API docs. DMX 5.0-beta-4 is released at July 22, 2019. Two and a half years in the making of DMX (formerly "DeepaMehta 5") this is the first release that provides Data Guarantee.
